If you are about to enrol your child into daycare, you may be wondering what the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is about and whether you’ll be entitled to it. The purpose of the child care subsidy is to make gold coast childcare more affordable for Australian families. We’ve compiled this post to share everything you need to know about the child care subsidy.

What is the child care subsidy?

The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is an incentive formed by the Australian Government to help with the cost of childcare fees. It makes child care more accessible to families.

The child care subsidy is paid to your childcare provider and they pass the subsidy on to you at a discounted rate. You pay the gap fee which is the difference between the full daycare fee and the subsidy.

Why you should know what child care subsidy is

Enrolling your child into daycare can be an overwhelming process, and knowing what is involved and the costs associated can help make this transition much easier for you as a caregiver or parent. You can work out how many days you can enrol your child per week based on the weekly fees and your budget.

How do I know if I’m eligible for the child care subsidy or not?

To be eligible for the child care subsidy, you or your partner must meet all of the following:

  1. You or your partner must be living in Australia
  2. Have your child for at least 14% of the time or 2 nights per fortnight
  3. Are liable to pay fees for care at an approved childcare

Additionally, to be eligible, your child must meet the following two requirements:

  1. They must meet immunisation requirements
  2. Not be attending a secondary school

How much will I have to pay?

How much you will pay for your child to attend daycare will depend on several factors, some of these include how much you and/or your partner (if you have one) earn, whether you have other children in childcare or not and how many hours of work or activity the parents have each week.

  1. Here are some of the recognised activities that can determine the total number of hours of child care subsidy you will be entitled to:
  2. Paid work, including self-employment
  3. Paid or unpaid leave, including parental or maternity leave
  4. Studying via an approved course
  5. Volunteer work
  6. Unpaid work experience or an internship
  7. Actively looking for work
  8. Starting up a business

How does it work if I have more than one child in care?

If you have more than one child attending daycare, you may be eligible for a higher subsidy for additional children if you earn less than $354,305 or you have more than one child in childcare under the age of 5.

Families with more than one child in care may be eligible for a higher subsidy for their second child and younger children.

In most instances, the standard child care subsidy rate applies to the eldest child and subsequent children may be eligible for a 30% higher subsidy or more.

If you’d like to know more about the child care subsidy and what you may be eligible for, head to the services Australia website: Services Australia

Utilise the child care subsidy calculator

On the Services Australia website, you’ll find a payment and service finder, and you can use this to estimate how much CCS you may be entitled to.

The calculator will be looking for the following information:

  1. Your family’s income
  2. The hours of activity that you do as well as your partner
  3. The hourly rate cap. This is determined by your child’s age and the type of approved child care you have chosen

Preschool Exemption Program

If you have a child that is enrolled in a Government Approved Preschool or Kindergarten program, the child care subsidy exemption may be available for pre-school-age children who are eligible for 24 hours per fortnight subsidy. This means that your child may be able to access 36 hours per fortnight. The following conditions apply:

  1. The child must be of preschool age and be attending centre-based childcare or an early education program.
  2. The child would otherwise be entitled to less than 36 hours of care per fortnight.

How to apply for the Child Care Subsidy

  1. Before you can apply for the child care subsidy, you will need to create a MyGov account.
  2. Once you have done this, you can then sign in to MyGov and go to the Centrelink tab.
  3. After this, you’ll need to head to the payments and claims section on the drop-down menu. From here, you click on the ‘make a claim’ tab.
  4. Next, click on the ‘Families’ button and then ‘Get Started’.
  5. You will need to answer all the questions here and submit any supporting documents.
  6. Next, you can submit your claim.
  7. If you like, you can track the progress of your claim via your account.

After applying for a German student visa, international students desperately want to keep track of their visa status to be assured about its approval/rejection. Applicants may check the status of their visa application by visiting the VFS Global website. In this blog, we have provided you with the steps to check the status of Germany visas for students

Steps to check the student visa status in Germany

  • Open the VFS website on the search engine

Applicants need to visit the official website of VFS Global using their desktop or personal laptop. The window will provide various options, such as ‘apply for a visa,’ ‘book an appointment,’ ‘find a centre,’ and ‘visa at your doorstep.’ Applicants can also apply for premium services based on their needs.

  • Choose track your application tab

After opening the official website of VFS Global, applicants need to choose the ‘track your application’ tab. Clicking the option will direct applicants to a new page where they will find the whole page dedicated to finding the visa application status. On the ‘track your application’ page, applicants will find a drop-down menu on the right-hand side. Applicants can click on the option to select their preferred language.

  • Insert application reference number

Now, it’s time to enter the application reference number. Applicants can find the application reference number on their visa fee payment receipt. The file number will be in this format: SING/DDMMYY/XXXX/XX. Here, applicants require to fill in their Date of Birth.

  • Fill in the last name

Once applicants have fed their application reference number in the given box, it’s time to fill in the last name in the following box. Please remember that applicants just need to write their last name, not their full name.

  • Enter the captcha code

The final step involves entering the captcha code shown in the image beside the vacant box. The captcha code could be in the form of words or numbers. If applicants go on typing the wrong captcha code, they can refresh it for a new one. After filling all the compulsory boxes, applicants must submit them to get the desired results.

While applicants can check the status of their visa application using the reference number given on the visa fee payment receipt, it is noteworthy that the authorities send the status of the application on the given mobile number and the email address. The SMS service of VFS Global notifies applicants automatically when the application reaches the Embassy/Consulate, is processed, reviewed, and ready for collection. Applicants also receive a notification via SMS if the application gets rejected.

Please note that the German Embassy/Consulate in India takes around 15-30 days to process a study visa after the interview. So, applicants are advised to apply for a student visa when they receive a letter of admission from a German university. So, enrol in the course of your choice in a top German university for a bright future ahead. Do not forget to be an early bird in applying for a German student visa upon receiving the admission letter.

Children are little angels who should be taken care of and this applies when the children are going to school for the first time. Montessori is for children of every age, but mostly the children from age 3-to 6 years go to Montessori. One of the most important parts that you will know about the kids is that they are afraid to go to a new place and make new friends. Many of the kids are shy and they start crying when they are left alone in a new place. If your child is also the same who gets scared and starts crying and you are a working person, who cannot skip the office, then one of the best things that you can do is switch your child to Nursery Montessori.

Qualified Teachers –

You can put your child in Nursery Montessori Dubai. It is one of the best nurseries that your child can ever go to. Besides that, they have teachers who are qualified and experts and know how to take care of the small kids who have come up with a new place to study, learn and have fun. The teachers are well qualified and know the knack of handling the small kids aged 3 to 6 years or above very well. Another thing, which parents mostly worry about is the safety of the children. So, you don’t have to worry, because your child will be completely safe in the nursery Montessori Dubai school.

All Kinds of Careful Kid Activities –

Another best part that you will know about the Montessori Dubai nursery is that they are very very gentle with the kids. The teachers will play with your kids, dance, teach, sing, and also make them laugh. Plus, the teachers also make sure that your child is happy and given personal attention and care. Not a single child is ignored in the nursery classes. The nursery classes include all the safe and playful activities like coloring and painting, reading and writing and drawing, and others.

Feeding the Kids –

That, also, the teachers of the nursery Montessori make sure that the play items and tools and other drawing tools that are given to the children are with child safety and none of them is harmful. Besides that, the nursery Montessori school is for a few hours, but still in the meantime if any child is hungry then the teachers of nursery Montessori make sure that they feed your child with their tiffin’s eateries and the tiffins are complete.

Gentle Teachers –

Another area where the parents worry the most about their child is the child going to the loo. So, you don’t have to worry about that, as the teachers in the nursery Montessori are very gentle and they know how to take care of each child and their needs and other basic things. Even if your child makes a mistake or does something innocently then the teachers don’t scold the child and they take complete care of the child. So, leave your worries behind and trust and depend on Nursery Montessori Dubai school for kids.

When you talk about BPO (Business Processing Outsourcing) or KPO (Knowledge Processing Outsourcing), there is a general notion that such jobs are all about just making and answering calls. However, if you have similar ideas, you have completely got it wrong. BPO is one of the fastest-growing industries and the biggest employers in India.

The sector continues to grow, and it is estimated that it will grow further in the future. This means that there is excellent potential for job seekers in the industry. However, over the years, even as the volume of BPO jobs in Bengaluru has increased significantly, the market has become highly competitive.

If you are looking for a BPO job in Bengaluru, you need specific skills to stay ahead of others and get the job you want. Some of the necessary skills you can focus on developing are discussed below:

Polish your communications skills

Many BPOs in India cater to the local audience and require the potential candidates to have strong communication skills in both English and vernacular languages. Since the job is mostly about efficient communication skills, you must ensure that you have correct pronunciation and diction.

Make sure that you also work on your accent, especially if your work involves communicating with people overseas. Also, you must ensure that you are confident while talking to different people and be courteous always.

Focus on portraying yourself as the ideal candidate for the role

When you go to an interview, one of the most common questions you get from the interviewer is ‘Tell me about yourself.’ You can use this question to your advantage and try to give a unique answer that would help you stay ahead of the others.

It is better to have a ready-made answer in your mind for this question, as the interview will gauge how confident you are while speaking. Don’t be in a rush to get through the questions. Instead, be calm and take your time to visualise the answer and reply concisely and emphatically.

If needed, practice your answer a few times over at home. This will help you be more confident while facing the actual interviewer and avoid mistakes or sounding nervous. While you answer, focus on putting across your skills and expertise to tackle the challenges your role may present.

Present yourself well and follow the etiquettes

Generally, for BPO jobs, you need not wear a suit or a tie. However, this does not mean you turn for the interview unkempt. You can make a good impression on your potential employer by dressing-up smartly. Also, ensure that you watch your body language while talking to the interviewer.

Ensure that you keep your posture upright during the interview. Don’t give them the impression that you are being too casual. Maintaining proper etiquette is necessary. All this can make a world of difference in giving you an edge over others.

Final Word

Work on the tips mentioned above, and you will have a good chance of getting the BPO job you desire.
